A Farthing was 1/4th of a British Penny, and 1/960th of a Pound under the pre-decimal system.
And he that hath lyberte ought to kepe hit wel For nothyng is better than lyberte For lyberte shold not be wel sold for alle the gold and syluer of all the world -Aesop's Fables, Caxton edition 1484
Coin should be 95Cu-4Sn-1Zi. My catalog, from 2009, values a "Fine" example at 15 pounds and a "Very Fine" example at 50 pounds. Otherwise, "really" old english pennies and farthings are fairly common.
