I bought a new dryer, and cleaned up the old one that came with my house so I can sell it locally.

Inside was $3.01 in change! Surprising, considering how cheap the previous owners were.

I found a CU penny at the carwash last week right below where we put our money into the place where we put our money in. I expect once the snow melts away I'll be finding more as I go out walking parking lots and looking where big snow melts happened.

City recycle bin, bad person put a plastic bag in. So I opened it, out popped a penny.

Penny today in the parking lot of the storage place where I rent a unit. A couple of weeks ago I found $0.32 in mixed change.

Our dryer died. So, bought the new one but dragged the new one out to scrap. Took the back off and tipped it to get it up the stairs. Money was falling out like it was a one armed bandit! Cha ching cha ching! Once I had pulled it all apart, $3.07! Woo hoo! retirement here I come.

How old was the dryer?

The dryer was 20 years old. Twelve of the cents were copper but nothing else of note.

The snow has melted and in some of the bigger parking lots there are spots covered with dirt and debris where they had pushed up the snow. Does anyone ever look in these areas?

Each spring I find a few coins in the parking lot corners where the snow was piled. A few years ago I found a torn $5 in a melting snow pile.
