I once lost my wedding ring at work. I was brushing the snow off of my car in the parking lot and the ring came off of my finger. The ring was found the next spring in the lot where the snow pile had melted. One of the other guys in the parts department found it.

This is an awesome story. Did you know it when you lost it?

I have a friend his aunt lost her wedding ring. They could not find it. It turned up 25-30 years later in the back yard garden. I was there they day they found it. she was one happy woman!!

I realized it was gone while still at work, but did not know for sure where I lost it. I was using my bare hands to remove some snow from my car windows that had fallen during the day. I must have figured that it had fallen off when I was doing that. I brought my car into the shop and used hot water to melt the snow off of the windshield and hood area but was not successful in finding it. I worked in the parts department and the guys knew about it. I don't know if Jim was actually looking for it when he found it or just happened to find it.

Wife found her ring in our driveway gravel months after losing it. Must have walked and driven over it countless times. Motivated me to finally buy a metal detector.

Found a quarter in an abandoned storage locker. Does not compensate me for cost of junk removal.

Stopped to pick up a 10 cent deposit bottle on the side of my street and there was a quarter in the middle of the road

Found a quarter and two zinc cents atop a transformer behind a strip mall I was working at.

Big handful of pennies and nickels in a coinstar tray - totally normal condition too - also a 2ct Euro in the mix

I wonder if perhaps the machine was full...

I don't post here often but I do lurk. Tonight we had sushi in Cedar Park, TX. After dinner I spotted something familiar on the ground next to my car door. A $20!

Twice before I've found currency. Many many years ago, around 1am in the morning I found a $20 walking down the street in San Francisco. Back then a $20 was worth a helluva lot more. A few laters later I found $32 rolled up on the floor of a Reno casino. I don't remember which one but it was late at night and there was no one around.

Sweet! Wait a minute, that’s not right. Waddling close to the ground gives you an unfair advantage  .

How fast was the $20 walking? I assume slow enough for you to catch it.

This cant compare to MaxGravy's find but it was a fun find. I was at our local Goodwill store and saw something that caught my eye. On the shelf with games and puzzles was a "CoinStruction" kit. It comes with plastic clips that attach to cents or nickels. You can build things like a helicopter or a dragster. Of course I had to buy it. The price was $2.99 and it had a yellow tag which meant that if was 75 pct off. I paid 74 cents plus tax for it. I had looked in the box and there were some cents in there from the last project that had been built. When I got it home I sorted through everything and there were 120 cent in there with the clips. SCORE!

Abandoned storage unit yielded 17 rolls Canadian pennies. Have not been able to sort pennies for years now unless I find them like this. Also a couple dimes and loose pennies yesterday from same unit. Needles, pot, condoms, many crack pipes, empty booze containers, pills, parole paperwork, ID from random people unrelated to the person who rented the unit, random mail for other people, and a whole lot of slutty clothing/shoe/costumes found made for an interesting day.

Haha, that was hilarious Steve!

I went for a walk and found three pennies at the end of a street turnaround, two zinc, one canadian all within a couple of feet of one another. Then I cut through a parking lot from there and found another zinc penny, then picked up a brand new jumbo paper clip the rest of the way home. Yesterday on the same trek I picked up a master lock and threw it in the steel scrap bucket.

We bought a used suit at Salvation Army for my son several years back. The suit cost $5.00 which was a great deal. There was a $20 in the pocket when we go it home.

Similar thing, but it was a pair of shorts.26$. When I tried them on I could feel something in the pocket. Expected a used tissue.

Next to the storage unit is a car wash with multiple vacuum stations. I find change probably 3-4 times a week while walking my dog by those. Usually just pennies, but yesterday was a quarter and a dime.

So I guess you can loosely say you actually took money from a homeless person.
