Either shill bidding is going on or buyers just aren't reading the description. 28.50, at time of post, for ONE war nickel!?!? I've seen this guy post tons of listings for ONE war nickel. Usually the auctions reach at least 10 dollars...for ONE war nickel! This is worse than the guy selling "unsearched" rolls of halves.

Oh, I forgot to mention, his auction picture shows 30 war nickels, as you will see when you click the link.

Very misleading auction. The buyer will be surprised when they get one nickel instead of 30.

You really should beware anyone who misspells a three letter word like "War" :? And why would I be "biding" on a war nickel that is 30%--or, wait, 35%, yep that's right--silver.

It's in the description (way down low) that it's for one coin---but. man that's shady! A good lesson--reed tha hole diskripshun beefor biding

I will predict that enough negative feedback results and complaints to ebay that the ad gets changed or pulled. Everyone says "read the whole ad," and "you should know better," but sometimes you bid on ebay and it's fast and furious, barely enough time to calculate your bid, let alone read though all the descriptors.

It blows my mind that someone would risk their reputation for ONE war nickel auctions; especially someone with over 1500 feedback.

If you check recent stats....2 auctions were for coins. If you go to 12 month mode....nothing for a war nickel. But alot of other coin auctions that went south....

Could be one of his employees using the account, but his retorts to previous negative feedback seem to indicate ignorance

Questionable listing and buyers remorse. Real rubber meets the road situation.

If anybody wants war nickels, I have two plus a buffalo, V nick, and two Jeff Proofs. </shamless promotion> ;)

How do you expect to get over $30.00 with an honest description?

I blame my father. His lessons of you can make a quick buck by burning somebody and getting a bad name. Or you can do honest business and keep doing it with people over a lifetime.

I've bought a few items from ny pawn queen, never a problem.

I would clue in the winner and cancel the transaction. Why do you all think the ad was deceptive? Because of the picture?

I think nypawn queen was lazy and didn't want to take individual pictures or use a stock photo.

Nowhere in the ad does it indicate the auction was for more than 1 nickel.

A. There are exceptions to every rule, you may be one of them.
B. Too lazy? Really? To protect her reputation? Laziness is not anywhere near a good excuse.

Wow, reading some of the responses to the negative feedback. Just wow. People think that is acceptable. I don't even know what to say.

I've noticed sellers on eBay doing similar things with both post 64 US nickels and also CA 999 nickels.

The headlines are written in a way that could lead you to believe you're bidding on a roll instead of a single nickel "pulled from a roll". They include word roll in the headline sometimes which seems dis-ingeniousness to me. Many coins on eBay were in rolls at one time, but most do not mention that in the headline.

The other golden rule that helps, don't drink and eBay!

I could understand if the title said for 30 war nicks, but come on! The idiot that paid $28.50 was probably a product of the public school system... As was the seller, just look at this response to some negative feedback.

Scam ?? I received EMPTY Envelope from him... is it a Joke ???? Buyer: rypson ( 307) Feb-16-11 07:34

I do like some teachers others are worthless like that seller.
"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered....The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."

The worst part about the response to the feedback, is that the seller probably thinks that is a perfectly acceptable way to type, talk, and an appropriate response for a business to make. I had to read through it a couple of times to understand what this person was saying. This is not acceptable in the real world. This is not acceptable in a business situation.
