Saabman, it will be interesting to see if you can continue to locate halves with COVID-19 fears abounding.
Former stock broker w/ ~20 yrs. at one company. Spoke with 100k+ people and traded a lot (long, short, options, margin, extended hours, etc.).
NOTE: ANY stocks I discuss, no matter how compelling, carry risk- often
substantial. If not prepared to buy it multiple times in modest amounts without going overboard (assuming nothing really wrong with the company), you need to learn more about the market and managing risk. Also, please research covered calls (options) and selling short as well.

I stopped by my pick up bank yesterday to let them know I wouldn't be by today. "No problem, your halves will be here when you swing by on Thursday". Will that hold through out? Who knows? These are going to be some crazy months ahead of us.........

In a way, this could be a good time to find more silver coins. Think about it this way. If you had been procrastinating in settling out an estate and you had a bunch of coins to take to the bank, don't you think that the worldwide recession that we appear to be entering would help get people to finally take coins to the banks?

It's unfortunate, but I believe people will be liquidating anything and everything to stay afloat......including Grandad's old coins......

Question: how are you dealing with the return coins? Are your bank lobbies still open to have access to coin counters?
I was thinking of buying a few boxes of cents this weekend as we get closer to a Commiefornia quarantine but they can't pass them thru the drive-thru vac tube!
