Unload Your Material Before the Election

Postby Dr. Cadmium » Tue Sep 22, 2020 2:56 pm

I'm unloading all or most of my material before the election. Regardless of what party wins, I predict it's going to be a mess like in 2000.

I'm selling everything a couple of weeks before, and putting some cash aside to buy the dips in the market.

Someone asked me what my plans were for the fall, it took a few minutes to realise she meant autumn, not TEOTWAWKI.

It may be a good time to play the market; my plans are being fully prepared.
Silver Monometalism is the most permanent and stable form of money the world has seen. Natural law and history prove silver value is best multiplied by gold and best divided by copper. It is only in this counterfeit currency time when the natural law appears suspended.

I just bought some of the silver ETF (Ticker: SLV) in the premarket session Tuesday. Just buying as a trade. Paid about $22.55ish per share.
Former stock broker w/ ~20 yrs. at one company. Spoke with 100k+ people and traded a lot (long, short, options, margin, extended hours, etc.).

NOTE: ANY stocks I discuss, no matter how compelling, carry risk- often
substantial. If not prepared to buy it multiple times in modest amounts without going overboard (assuming nothing really wrong with the company), you need to learn more about the market and managing risk. Also, please research covered calls (options) and selling short as well.

I picked up another SLV leap yesterday, dated Jan 2023.

I'm happy that my prediction was wrong, at least so far anyway.

I had the same thought as you... I didn't end up dumping anything... but now I am considering it.... but in exchange for what?
Food? Ammo? I feel like the real tell will be in December/January.

I may be wrong in doing this but I've kept most of my money in hard assets, this puts me in a bind if an unexpected expense pops up.

This election season isn't totally over (regardless of what you think about the voting accuracy). It will certainly be interesting to see the next couple months in markets.
