How scarce is CA 99.9% these days

Hey All,

Trying to downsize some of the bulk stuff lying around. Wondering how scarce wild type 99.9% Nickels are these days to pull from banks.

Cheers,

Reports from the Canada members in the recent past are they are generally so rare they are no longer worth searching for in nickel boxes.

I have not seen any in the rolls i have been searching lately. Haven't even seen many regular Canadian either.
Went to my credit union today and they closed the lobby to customers again. By appointment only now so coin flow will cease again.

Thanks. Not sure there's much of a market in the US for these, but just looking to reduce the clutter.

Your message is confusing. Are you buying or selling? How many pounds of .999 Canadian nickels are you selling/looking to buy? Are you in the U.S. or Canada?

As freight is a fairly big percentage of the cost of .999 Canada nickels, you might try to locate some interested party within driving distance.

Good luck.
Former stock broker w/ ~20 yrs. at one company. Spoke with 100k+ people and traded a lot (long, short, options, margin, extended hours, etc.).

NOTE: ANY stocks I discuss, no matter how compelling, carry risk- often
substantial. If not prepared to buy it multiple times in modest amounts without going overboard (assuming nothing really wrong with the company), you need to learn more about the market and managing risk. Also, please research covered calls (options) and selling short as well.

+1

I have not done a box in a long time but in addition to low numbers, banks and CU are very reluctant to give boxes away for free in Québec. Merchants have to pay a 7% coin fee.
