Nixon wasn't impeached, he resigned.
Trump has been impeached twice now - obviously not convicted the first time. The second trial will remain a constitutional debate for some time, as to whether or not it is legal to have a Presidential impeachment trial after the person has left office, as the purpose and penalty for conviction is removal from office, so how can you have a trial on removing someone from office who is already out of office. Justice Roberts, for all his wishy-washy-ness, has already weighed in on that to some extent by refusing to preside over the trial.
In the game of Woke, the goal posts can be moved at any moment, the penalties will apply retroactively and claims of fairness will always lose out to the perpetual right to claim offense.... Bret Stephens
The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those that speak it. George Orwell.
We can ignore reality, but we cannot ignore the consequences of ignoring reality. Ayn Rand.
