Found .92 today, random coins, at the median of a local road in northern DE. 3 quarters, dime, nickel, .02 in zincolns. Looks like it's been out there for a while.

Five boxes of nickels from the local bank this year.

Most were 2020 and 2019.

No Canada, no billon, nothing older than 1964. This was a big time skunk. Just enough circulated coin to not be pure uncirculated.

19 rolls Canadian dimes yielded 1x1963 Silver! A 1996 5 pence and 4 US dimes. 26 rolls Cdn nickels yielded 44 Ni Nickels including a 1961, 10 US Jeffs, and one dime.

$451 Canadian old dollars and $7.50 in Canadian half dollars yielded a single 1967 80% Silver 1/2 which is better than the normal skunk when I am able to find these non-circulating older coins.

My banker buddy had.
$700 quarters..nothing.a couple were shorted with a nickel.
$200 dimes.nothing but shorted with 2 pennies.
$60 nickels.got a couple pre 63.and one 2009.
$30 pennies.first 10 had maybe 8 uglies,
Second.I weighed.lots of copper.different wrapper.tomorrow will tell

About $190 in dimes and nickels yield a few American coins. Nothing else.

It’s really nice to see someone is still able to get some .999 nickels!

I use to open Canadian nickel rolls (Kingston area), but then the border closed. When I began in 2011, I was averaging 4-5 melts per roll and was averaging 1 King George every 10-12 rolls. 8 years later, the average melt per roll was down to approximately 1.6 per roll. As for King George, the average was like 1 out of every 50-70 rolls. The way to be successful is mass quantities and target many different banks.
