Yes, thanks for this and the other monthly threads. The copper cents and nickel threads might be the most important/interesting because most of our success is confined to those two denominations.

Update: While dumping the halves, the reject cup had a couple of surprises.....1 x 43 P nickel and 1 x 48 quarter!!

$100 dimes yielded one heart breaker. A 1982 Canadian.

Got a bag of halves. Needed $130 worth of halves to fill the bag. Found an angel token,1-65,2-66,6-67,4-68,1-69 and a Canadian 1951.

Does that mean the bag had $870 face in it ($1,000 - $130)?

It means I added $130 to make it a full bag. I got my 130 back before I got the bag.

I wouldn't even bother with dimes. They are the worst coin in U.S. history EXCEPT when you find them on the ground or in penny rolls.

Really, I had much better luck with dimes than quarters. For me, gold coins are the worst. I NEVER find them while roll searching.

Opened two rolls of half dollars today, but no silver. 5 of the 6 banks that I stopped at didn't even have a single half.

Went to one of my local banks yesterday and purchased a roll of halves. FIVE Silver!!!!! All forty percent, but that's perfectly okay.
Was 20 miles out of town today and hit three banks on their main road. 16 halves ($8 face), but no silver.

I picked up 40 CWRs of halves for $400. No silver to be found in any of them. But it was still a good score. There were 23 rolls in the batch that had 25 coins inside instead of 20. I still can’t figure out how the teller didn’t notice this discrepancy in the size of the rolls. I came out ahead with 115 extra coins for $57.50.
