Was at a bank last November-December. Asked for something like $10-20 in pennies. The teller said she had $34.50 and I took them all. Just finally finished going through them.
Glad I took all of them because there were LOTS OF COPPERS included.
Got the following:
Coppers (1959-81) 1,892
Coppers (1982) 96 (also 23 zincs from ‘82)
Wheats 14 (including 1928 & 35-D)
Canada 2
NOTE: Two of the 59-81 coppers were a 60-D small date and a Lincoln/Kennedy cent.
58.0% coppers is really outstanding. I could tell many/all of these came from a collector as several rolls had most/all of the
same date and were virtually 100% copper.
That was fun!
Former stock broker w/ ~20 yrs. at one company. Spoke with 100k+ people and traded a lot (long, short, options, margin, extended hours, etc.).
NOTE: ANY stocks I discuss, no matter how compelling, carry risk- often
substantial. If not prepared to buy it multiple times in modest amounts without going overboard (assuming nothing really wrong with the company), you need to learn more about the market and managing risk. Also, please research covered calls (options) and selling short as well.
