First box of halves for December....skunk....

$32 in halves this morning produced nothing.

Tuesday's box of halves (left over from last week due to illness) yielded.....1 x 64 !

Trial run on nickels. This CU has different types of coin counter machine in each branch. But same result. The nickels end up with some dimes and pennies too.
Since I sort in $100 increments I weighed out 1995 I sh grams five times which Should be $20, for $100

Relearning curve.or I just never weighed dimes.
So my coin counter decided to crap out. Grrr.

Counted out 50 x 10 ,with an average of 112.5 grams per roll. With my scale max out at 2000. I went with 1125 .

First $100.
No silver.
Butttt, here is why I dump them on my sorting tray.
A mirror shiny proof. Clad, but still cool.

I culled 8 coin that obviously made it into the bag. Yet 2 were mangled ,2 corroded, 4 gunk.
I would rather buy fast food than maybe jam the machine at my dump bank.

Never having had the money to buy $1000 worth of dimes before, I don't think I like it. As I have to take more time to put them into a coin tube, to align them, to look at the edge. Than it would take to open a roll.

In my penny sorting, I use 9 square tubes, in a potato salad container. Well, I poured the dimes into it, . somewhat filling them, if they got a crooked one jamming up. But it was better than filling one tube at a time.

Topped off the bag in the coin counter at my local bank. Took $164.00 to do it so $336.00 was in the bag.
