I’m not sure how someone could fit pennies into a dime roll…

Happens All the time.
But this is from a coin machine bag. I just am sorting in $100 increments. Instead of waiting until I complete the $1000 nag

Went to 14 different banks today looking for halves. 4 of them had a total of $227.50 in halves. Unfortunately, no silver.
Former stock broker w/ ~20 yrs. at one company. Spoke with 100k+ people and traded a lot (long, short, options, margin, extended hours, etc.).

NOTE: ANY stocks I discuss, no matter how compelling, carry risk- often
substantial. If not prepared to buy it multiple times in modest amounts without going overboard (assuming nothing really wrong with the company), you need to learn more about the market and managing risk. Also, please research covered calls (options) and selling short as well.

First of all, I love the effort! I have not been to that many banks in one day since 2019. I also have questions and a piece of advice. Did you find any Ike's in these 14 banks? Also, more importantly, did you pick up any rolls of pennies or nickels to sort? I usually buy pennies and or nickels when hunting halves. As for the advice, you should request 2 dollar bills as well because the old red label two's carry a premium. If you don't get the old ones, then you can always use them to buy more rolls.
Buy rolls NOW while you still can!

Picked up $260 of nickels and dimes at one CU.
Next one, shut down the coin machine as the lobby is being remodeled. Got $710 of pnd coin bags.

Now for a couple days of sorting.

Have to say this sucked. Not sure if this machine rejects silver, as I never used it.

I did get $35 in pennies to go through and am documenting those separately. I do ask for dollar coins as well and get Ikes occasionally. I also ask for SBA’s as I can sell them locally in circulated condition for $1.10 each. I don’t ask for nickels as I don’t like the fact they’re only 25% nickel. Not a fan of $2 bills as I don’t have a way to sell them for enough to justify my work.

$202 in halves- no silver.

BUT…

I posted elsewhere how I got 2 silver dollars yesterday. Today I saw the same teller who got me the 58 Ikes yesterday which included an 1879-O and 1925 plain.

Today he said “I just got something else for you today. It was a 1916-P Mercury dime (VG) and 3 Buffalo nickels. The nickels were 35, 36 & 37 (all plain) and the nickels were in an original Littleton holder. All were Fine-VF.

They went from the rolls being, horizontal, to vertical.
They did this in the last 3-4 months.

Just thinking that a ,revamp, of the pro ESS could also have included new sorting machines.

$138.50 total in halves from 4 different banks on Tuesday. No silver whatsoever.

Only three more business days left this year and I have looked through $1,900 in halves in 2022 without finding a single silver half. That is TERRIBLE!

I've been down most of December, between the flu and strep. 1 outta 3 boxes of halves. I hope to snag a couple more before the end of the month.
