$175 in small dollars from the bank today yielded five NIFCs.

(Bold is new to the collection)

2013-D Native Am (Treaty w/ the Delawares)
2015-P Native Am (Mohawk Ironworkers)
2015-P Presidential (Ike) (x2)
2016-P Presidential (Nixon)

Got my first Sac with a hole in it, plus a foreign - East Caribbean States, 1 dollar (2004).

Trying to decide if I should simply keep all dollar NIFCs or re-release them. I see people selling them in bunches on eBay.

$1200 in small dollars from the bank today yielded 225 NIFCs! :o

(Bold is new to the collection)

1981-P SBA
2002-P Sac
2002-D Sac
2003-P Sac (x2)
2003-D Sac
2004-P Sac (x5)
2004-D Sac
2005-P Sac
2007-P Sac
2012-P Presidential (Cleveland, Variety 1)
2012-D Presidential (Cleveland, Variety 2)

2013-P Presidential (McKinley)
2013-P Presidential (Taft)
2015-D Presidential (Ike) (x3)
2016-D Presidential (Ford)
2013-P Native Am (Treaty/Delawares)
2014-D Native Am (Native Hospitality)
2017-D Native Am (Sequoyah)
2019-D Am Innovation (PA/Polio Vaccine) (x100)
2019-D Am Innovation (GA/Trustees' Garden) (x100)

Well, this was quite the haul! I found out last week one of my stops had 67 rolls of small dollars. Problem was I couldn't make it there until today and "only" $1200 was left. Still quite happy with the results. Seven new for the collection and I'm debating hanging on to the American Innovation rolls, which are really nice coins. None were original sealed rolls and I even got one proof and gold-plated quarter. This was a fun hunt!

$216 in small dollars from the bank today yielded two NIFCs.

2012-P Presidential (Arthur)
2012-P Presidential (Cleveland, Variety 1)

Nothing new but also snagged two Bicentennial Ikes in the bunch.

A few weeks into trying new banks and there are still quite a few lesser known I've yet to investigate (Town & Country Bank?? Never heard of them). Sadly, my main bank is getting all my dumps, but I try to spread the misery around to different branches.

$500 in small dollars from the bank today yielded three NIFCs.

2004-P Sac
2013-P Presidential (McKinley)
2016-D Presidential (Ford)

Nothing new.

Thought for sure I'd get something from this batch but all I managed was two original rolls (Lincoln P-mint and Grant, mint unknown) and several BU SBA's that will upgrade those already in my collection.

$49 in small dollars today yielded two NIFCs.

2013-P Presidential (Teddy Roosevelt)
2020-P Am Innovation (South Carolina/Septima Clark)

Wouldn't ya know it? Two weeks ago I scored $500 worth, and nada. This week's haul is 10% of that, and I get new ones. Just crazy. Happy to get my first Teddy, now I'm only missing appearances by Harding, Kennedy & Reagan.

I'm getting close to finding at least one example of each president, yes. I still need 15 total to complete the set.

The sculptor/engraver for this one (Phebe Hemphill) does such great work with shadowing/depth and detail. She also did the Shenandoah quarter, and the crazy detailed Merrill's Marauders medal.

$354 in small dollars yielded six NIFCs.

Bold is new to the collection.

2003-D Sac
2004-D Sac
2013-D Native Am (Treaty with the Delawares)
2014-P Presidential (Harding)
2014-P Presidential (Hoover)
2022-D Native Am (Ely Samuel Parker)

B of A finally cracked and sold me some dollars today. Said they had over $1,000 so I may go back tomorrow. Ticked Harding off my list, just need a Kennedy and a Reagan to have at least one of each NIFC president. The 2022 edge lettering was really faint, could hardly make out the D mint. Also in this batch was 1971 British two pence.

$150 in small dollars yielded one NIFC:

2006-P Sac

Half these dollars were original N.F. String & Sons rolls, so I really had only three Brinks rolls to search. Considering those odds, I'm very happy to find a new NIFC.

People must have bought rolls of the presidential dollars when they came out and have decided to let them go, or maybe they passed away and the kids are just taking them to the bank. I picked up a String roll of John Adams dollars at my local Huntington bank on 03-30-2023.

How dare you taunt me!

Also strange that they're both some of the highest mintages in the series.

If I can't get rid of them via eBay, I'll try the next coin show in Aug. Don't really have high hopes for either.

$398 in small dollars today yielded seven NIFCs.

Bold is new to the collection.

2004-D Sac
2006-P Sac
2013-P Presidential (Teddy R)
2013-D Native Am (Treaty with the Delawares)
2014-P Presidential (Harding)
2019-D American Innovation (Light Bulb/NJ)
2020-D Native Am (Elizabeth Peratrovich)

Stopped at six banks today and B of A is consistently the most puzzling. Got hundreds of dollar coins from one branch with no questions asked, yet another was reluctant to sell me just $13. But by and large, most banks are pretty accommodating, one even gave me a zippered pouch for my loot.

$201 in small dollars today yielded three NIFCs.

Bold is new to the collection.

2015-D Presidential (JFK)
2016-P Presidential (Nixon)
2019-D American Innovation (DE/Classifying the Stars)

Two out of three were new, I'm happy with that! Only Reagan left to have at least one of each president. And the bank I got these at (first visit there) said they had more but wouldn't say how much. I'll just have to clean them out. :D

When you get all the Nifc small dollars you gotta try and get the Nifc s clad quarters. I would think you have all the Nifc half dollars

I do have all the halves, though I admit I traded with some chaps here for the final few.

I'm almost halfway done with the NIFC small dollars, and completing that will be a Herculean task.

But completing an NIFC quarters set? Whoa, now that seems near impossible. There are 56 by my count and I have...four.

It took me two years to complete the 10-coin W series, and that was at least $7k of focused searching every couple of weeks. In that time and since I've found 33 W's. The NIFC's just seem so much scarcer, even though in sheer numbers they're more common than the W's.

There are enough residual cool things to find in quarters that I'd like to give it a try though. We'll see. Maybe when I get sick of small dollars. :D
