Question about sending in coins to grade

Postby theshoenlebens » Mon Jul 17, 2023 2:08 pm

Alright everyone, need some help on this.
I got in my 2 Peace Unc. (p) and 2 Unc. (p) Morgan.
Thinking about sending in to grade just to see what happens. Never done before so complete noob.

I was just going to do 1 each but since they were sent together in 2 boxes ( 2 coins Peace and 2 coin Morgan) I need to keep opened from the mint or just unopened individual coins?
Do I use this grading service?
PCGS
MODERN VALUE (1965 to date) $300 $17
If so it will be $17x 4. Do I need anything else ?
Also says to ship USPS Express. Very costly but looks like the express envelopes would be the cheapest.
Throw out any info you feel I need to know. ( even if you think it is a waste of money)

Thanks
Chris

I assume you are paying for insurance as well. Also, what approximate grade are you anticipating on these coins?

Please keep us updated on how this goes. I've never sent in anything either.

Results are in.. Sorry Iost my normal image host so this one just uses a link I guess
3 ms 70
1 ms 69.

All in all I'm happy with the results
At least a couple will be for sale when I get them so look out for them to pop up in the numismatic section.
