Sid, you're having a pretty good month. Always good to buy silver at face, regardless of percentage.
Buy rolls NOW while you still can!

Got a total of $92.50 from a couple banks.

$40.00 of that (BWR) yielded nothing good.
The other $52.50 was quite good.

Got (2) 1964's plus (3) 40%ers.

Just thought I'd check this year vs. other years because it seems like things are going fairly well this year. So far this year I've gotten $895.50 in halves which yielded the following:

Walker or Franklin halves: 1
1964 Kennedy halves: 2
40% silver halves: 14
Total silver halves: 17 (0.9% for the year so far)

Except for the year 2019 (1.19% silver), this 0.9% figure is the highest percentage of silver I've gotten since the year 2010 (3.3% silver) when I had cancer all year and I think God was on my side during my long recovery. In other words 2023 so far is the 2nd best of the last 13 years. Not bad!

By the way, 2019 was so good largely because I had a trip to Ohio where I went to a single rural bank and got 26 silver halves (25 were 40%ers) out of $56.00 picked up.

Anyone else having a decent year?

Interesting day.

$27.00 P
$14 N
$20 D
%20 Q

Pawn shop. 5 ,baggies, of halves.
Labeled as 92.5%. I talked to salesgirl, no knowledge. Talk to the manager. He totally ignored me, would not talk to me.

Hope he doesn't sleep well.
In reality, he had a Ben, with 4,40% JFK. For $90. Wow.
Another bag, Ben, WL, stone mtn, 2-40%. For the same $90.

Next store. They have had two, 4 ounce, silver,Quarters since before Xmas. $220. I lowballed at $125. He actually ,laughed, in my face.

Third had 4 Morgan. $40. Mislabeled 92.5%. That manager listened, when I pointed out the mistake. Offered $20 and she took it. Score of the day.

$678 in small dollars today...skunked.

90% 2000PD Sacs, with a couple rolls of SBAs. Just brutal.

And insult upon insult, a few of the rolls were short, all totaled $13 missing, so I guess the amount searched was technically $665.

Oh, and an angel token.

A nice bag and partial bag from a branch of my bank that I dont often visit.
From 46 rolls that came from their coin counter:
1-90% (64-D)
24-40%

From a partial bag ($148) from the coin counter:
2-90% (64 and 64-P)
1-40% (68-D)

Highlights from the 46 rolls:
4-enders, 2 of which contained 3-40% and 1 which contained 2-40%
2 other rolls which contained 2-40%
a total of 18 rolls with silver!

I will be checking with this branch more often!

Thanks Saabman. It is the occasional bag like this that keeps you going after multiple skunks. I have only had three other bags better than this one. The first bag I ever sorted was my best and will never be surpassed. It contained 59-90% and 98-40%. That bag is probably what got me hooked! These two bags were #63 and #64.

Three rolls of halves this morning - no silver. Interesting note - two of the rolls were pure 1976. I cashed in all three rolls at another bank.
Buy rolls NOW while you still can!

$196 total from 4 banks ($182.50 was from just one of the banks.

Got (1) 40%er- it was from a bank where the teller next to my teller excitedly said “I’ve got some halves and proceeded to give me $2 face including a 1965.
