All from one trip to a CS at my local Walmart….

.83 in (U.S. coins- 3 pennies, 2 nickels, 2 dimes and 2 qtrs.).
1 Canadian qtr. (2008)
1 Mexican peso (2007)
1 Mexican 50 centavos (2021)

One U.S. quarter was mutilated. A bunch of the others were stuck to each other.
Former stock broker w/ ~20 yrs. at one company. Spoke with 100k+ people and traded a lot (long, short, options, margin, extended hours, etc.).

NOTE: ANY stocks I discuss, no matter how compelling, carry risk- often
substantial. If not prepared to buy it multiple times in modest amounts without going overboard (assuming nothing really wrong with the company), you need to learn more about the market and managing risk. Also, please research covered calls (options) and selling short as well.

July's totals, delayed because of emergency eye surgery at the beginning of the month. I'm still on the mend but the prognosis is good. A weird coincidence was that I found the Armenian coin the day before everything happened, and my surgeon ended up being Armenian. Crazy. Hope to be back to normal before the end of the August and back to reporting regularly. Thx to my brother in stats hobo finds for checking on me.

July totals (2023 totals)

1¢ - .24 (4.95)
5¢ - .10 (2.90)
10¢ - .90 (13.90)
25¢ - 1.00 (21.50)
Total - 2.24 (43.25)

Apartment complex parking lot: 4.16

Armenia
100 dram (2003)

Canada
5 cents (2004)

Tokens
2 cherries (no date)

Another .53 today plus foreign coins! 1 coin was a 1960 dime!

I watched as some kid dumped in his coins, used his phone to get his scan code and/or receipt, and then took off. As I approached the machine I could see it rejecting coins. Kid should have waited!

Funny you said this, because on Wednesday the 20th I ALSO found 53 cents plus 2 foreign coins (1 from Argentina- the other is hard to figure out). Nope, I didn’t get any silver like you did.

Twice in the last two weeks I've been sniped by someone else as I walked up to a machine. One older gent scooped three coins off the ledge and the other looked like store mgmt. The latter is worse since he probably does that all day.

I have no doubt that the staff are watching and partake. I used to pick up change dropped when shoppers would leave Toys R Us. I worked security.

Same. For five months I used to work at a grocery store and regularly raided the Coinstar. I guess this is karma.

Back to somewhat normal this month. Though I didn't do as many Coinstar circuits as I would've liked, the results were acceptable. I still have an outside chance to get back to my 2¢ a day average for parking lots finds thanks to my neighbors constantly dropping change. Less likely is passing my record of 38 countries, unless there's a surge in the last quarter. Good news is I have plenty of extra time off work in the near future, especially in Nov, to make up the slack.

September totals (2023 totals)

1¢ - .65 (5.70)
5¢ - .30 (3.30)
10¢ - 2.10 (16.40)
25¢ - 1.25 (23.25)
Total - 4.30 (48.65)
