What sorting must have been like in 1991

I just started into a horde of cents that is yielding 60%+ cu, with 4 to 6 wheats in every handful.

A lady I know and work for has a giant floor vase in her hall where she has been dropping all of her pennies since 1965...59 years!

It's so strange finishing a small batch and seeing the copper pile bigger than the zinc pile. I took 2 Home Depot buckets home with me to work on, maybe 5000 coins in each, and I barely scratched the surface. The best ones are still in the bottom

Found a decent 1972 doubled die (die #2), would probably grade XF. The photo was hard to manage what with the cellphone, loupe, and lighting...but should give you an idea.

I pulled similar amounts from a hoard I bought off my LCS guy in 2022. After sorting it all with my Ryedale had close to 2 gal full of wheats and 70-80% Cu. Still haven't looked through those coppers for errors.

[1] At some point during a 2 a.m. delirium I co-mingled her zincs with my zincs, so there is no precise number for that category.

[2] Easily 62/64% copper all told once the '82 are weighed out.

[3] The pesos were likely dropped in there by her teenaged daughters in the mid-'70s, after a trip to Mexico.

Since I only have an estimate on the total coin searched I won't pollute the Tracking Thread with the overall numbers.
