anyone know a good place to get silver casting grain?
have some projects to take care of and the little jeweler guy in town i used to buy off of passed away.

How much do you need?
Brick and mortar shop: buy, sell, and trade anything precious- coins, bullion, scrap, jewelry, gems, etc.

wound up picking some up from a guy my boss knew.

im part of a medieval renactment group and im making a few byzantine style coins and a few other odds and ends

very nice, I have some chain maille jewelry I make in copper and silver, 4-1 euro and japanese,6-1, byzantine, kings maille, etc etc.

Never casted coins before, got any pics?

I've played around with 4-1 before. I tried to make a shirt or coif but couldn't stay motivated. I spent hours upon hours but only have about a hand sized piece.

i'll try and find copies of my previous coins they're cast in pewter

the byzantine ones im casting it into a mold that more or less makes it into a sheet then i stamp the blanks out
this is going to be one of my first sets where im striking the coins rather than casting them
