What’s so special about a 1982-D large cent?
Former stock broker w/ ~20 yrs. at one company. Spoke with 100k+ people and traded a lot (long, short, options, margin, extended hours, etc.).

NOTE: ANY stocks I discuss, no matter how compelling, carry risk- often
substantial. If not prepared to buy it multiple times in modest amounts without going overboard (assuming nothing really wrong with the company), you need to learn more about the market and managing risk. Also, please research covered calls (options) and selling short as well.

Just the opposite here in AZ, I can't get a 2024 P for anything

Same here in NV. With coins for my Dad's little "Whitmans" that he likes to fill, the P's usually only start showing up about three years after they are released, and by that point they've seen some life.

There is some randomness to how coins minted in Denver make it to New Hampshire, North Carolina, or Florida. Also for Philadelphia minted coins showing up in Alaska, Hawaii, or Idaho.

When I was last visiting grandchildren in the Carolinas, I picked up a few boxes of cents and nickels from a local Credit Union. One box of cents was over 90% 2021 D and 2022 D. The other was typical circulated box for eastern states. About 70% Philadelphia. The nicks were both solid. One box 2022 P and the other 2021 D. Go figure.

Time for more coffee.
