This week I had 4 different banks tell me they had forgotten to order my halfs. I told each one "that's fine, no problem" and I meant it. I have very little to show for the tonnage of halfs I have lugged aroudn in 2011.

Rainsonme.. I know what you mean.. my bank forgot to order my half box this week too.. synchronicity, or is there a half dollar shortage? At least they called me earlier this week and told me they forgot to order it. I tried to double up for next week.. but they said no.. claiming tiny vault space.

I'm confused, as usual. I thought all nickels of this date range have the mint mark on them. Does your MM's refer to something other than Mint Mark?

Hmm, might have included the 2002's, I will have to look when I got the chance, I didn't spend too much time with them. I got a lot of coins to deal with and not much time to dawdle. An error obiously but I have to look to find out what I was thinking. Something in the new batch didn't (have MM's) and there were coins on either side of that range I kept. They were really nice for some reason, amazingly bright.

I keep new rolls from the bank and they don't look this good.

Since 1980 all nickels struck at the Philadelphia Mint have carried a 'P' mintmark. That is why I was confused because the nickels should all have mint marks on them. Thanks for checking to let us know what cool find you may have on your hands.

my normal pu bank told me the cash vault they order from was out. Ordered later in the week and only got four boxes of halves....Hmmmm?
