Yesterday I stopped at a bank and made a withdrawal to purchase $300 in halves. Before making the withdrawal, I asked if they were brand new halves. The teller said that they were not Loomis. She said "customers brought them in." I got excited, visualizing silver for face. After completing the transaction, I recognized my own handwriting!!!!! These were rolls that I brought in six weeks ago!!!! What a waste. They now reside in another bank.

Stopped at two banks today. One of them HAD 39 Ike dollars. I say "HAD" because I bought them all.

Lol. I ,,hash mark,,my rolls of pennies. I roll 20%. By taking 10 shield from each roll I sort. There are some banks that will, trade out. As long as it does not leave them short for the merchant.

Most tellers recognize my markings. To the point, one time she said, all I have, are the ones you brought 2 weeks ago. Lol

Got really lucky today. Was standing in line to buy pennies and nickels. A customer ahead of me was cashing in a crazy amount of stuff. All denominations and lots of $1 bills too. I asked if he had any halves. I bought them all. He had a Ten dollar face (loose) including the following:

1964 x 1
1966 x 2
1967 x 2
1968 x 3

1966 x 2
1967 x 2
1968 x 3

8 out of 20 were silver- WOW!

I have 30-40 pickup banks. They range from 1.5 miles to 35 miles from my house. Ones that are more than 15 miles away get much less frequent visits. This bank was 30 miles away. I had forgotten about the dump.
