Silver on FB Ad-Got Scammed

I should know better. Saw a deal for a mason jar of old silver coins. Doesn’t include the mason jar, but does include an assortment of 90% silver. $49,79, with a limit of 2. I bought 2. Bags include Morgan, Kennedy half, WL Half, Standing qtr, Wash qtr, Mercury dime, Barber dime. All of them are fake. The worst fake is a Kennedy half from 1986 that looks somewhat silver, but they don’t mint silver that year, and the weight isn’t right for silver. The numismatic value with the years and their condition had the coins been real, is about $10,000.

I have requested the Chinese company return my money, because I know they are counterfeit. If no response in a few days I will go back to PayPal. I may even have to report it to the Secret Service.

Facebook will not remove their sponsored counterfeiters.

However, if YOU were to attempt to resell those coins on Marketplace, the ad would be taken down by artificial intelligent review and/or you would find yourself in timeout.

I also get ads for counterfeit stamps. The sellers remove comments that point out they are fake and block those people from commenting again. Reporting to Facebook does nothing. There are also plenty of video/reel ads linking to scam websites. And my business page gets cloned by scam bots any time I run a giveaway and Facebook is useless. But I did get shadow banned for a few days a while back because Facebook decided that an article I linked to over 10 years ago was now an unacceptable news source. Over 10 years ago. It's frustrating that Facebook is still the most popular social media platform in my area and where most of my retail business comes from.

Sorry to hear what happened. I despise that more isn't done to charge those sellers. It's disgusting.

Maybe we should start using them to buy goods and when it comes up just say well you did nothing to the person who made it..

I called the company out on the coins being counterfeit and demanded a full refund. I received the refund today, no need to return the worthless counterfeit coins. I am really shocked.

I'm also of this opinion. Especially buying from a Chinese company, anyone should know better. In the future, stick to buying from reliable sources, and remember: If a deal seems too good to be true, it usually is.

I will definitely dispose of these counterfeits and purchase from reliable sources in the future. I wasn’t thinking at all when I purchased them. The name on the ad was Coin Word.US. Most people in the group have probably heard of Coin World, but they are not associated with them. It is just a front name to hide who they really are.

As bad as it is now, just imagine the craphole fb is going to become once tik tok gets shut down.

It is such an obvious criminal enterprise that offers a complete set of "90% silver uncirculated Morgan dollars coined by the U.S. Mint" for $99.00 and Zuckerboy won't intervene.
