Wheat pennies have always been my favorite coin. More recently they have a decent intrinsic value as well as their numismatic value. When you buy common date wheat pennies you usually pay 30% to 40% over spot, which isn't too bad considering they aren't the first choice for copper coin investment.

I just bought 5000 wheaties today from a member here for $210. I'm trying to get a good hoard of those along with my pre-82's. I'd really like to fill up a 5 gallon bucket of those but that's gonna take a while.

I have been trying to sell bags of 5000 wheats for $190.00 shipped here on Realcent and haven't had any interest.

A coin shop in my town sells them in bags of 5,000 for $225.00. I have not been in there for about 3 months, maybe they are higher now.
