By the way, according to one ME source, Iran just announced that they're closing the Strait of Hormuz. I can't find independent confirmation though.

None of the above. Iran's leadership is a death cult, and the Persian people need to take back their country, but they need to do that largely on their own. The US should remain somewhat aloof from the chaos on the ground, but there is no doubt that the Iranians have no business refining uranium above levels needed for nuclear energy; they have nothing but terror in mind with that end product, whether done by themselves or a proxy. To that end, I'm fine with the US helping Israel in the removal of nuclear enrichment capacity from the dictatorship.

To the best of my knowledge Iran has no significant military branch except in ballistic missiles and drones, and exporting terror (which requires money). So I'm also fine with Israel prosecuting a war on Iranian threats to Israel (especially missiles and drones), and with the US isolating Iran and limiting their access to cash (thanks again Obama/Biden, for literally funding their military and terror efforts).

The Iranian leadership has been desperately flooding social media with fake news, touting supposed military successes, including (this has been confirmed to be a lie) that they shot down 4 Israeli F-35s. (They would have trouble shooting down a duck, much less a F-35.)

The Orange Narcissist just announced US airstrikes in Iran. Let's see if Iran closes the Strait of Hormuz. Gas prices to the moon.
