i just snagged 22 ounces for $31.05 an ounce or $27.69 a coin.

Lots of fake Mexican coins floating around on EBAY these days. These should each weigh 30 grams and are 40 mm. Check a few when you get your coins.

this guys solid, ive bought more of these off him before. he had another auction go off at the same time that was for 23 1 ounce onza's for $33. something a piece.

Good job,

He blew it by not using the word 'silver'. No one know swhat a 5 peso chaumotec coin is unless you're familiar with them.

Those are great coins and they go for a premium.

But yes, there are a lot of those faked. Just compare with an authentic one the difference is obvious.

So if I want to make a "safe" buy on ebay how much should I offer in this example:
Fifty 1964 and older Roosevelt dimes, just typical circulated coins, with Kitco saying the price is $36/oz. Shipping $5.

There was a guy all weekend selling 10 early 1950s Five Peso Hidalgos for significantly under spot (Buy it Now). I was surprised they didn't sell, at least up until I quit checking on them.
