Japan Earthquake/Tidal Wave Before and After Views

Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together. All things connect. ~Chief Seattle, 1855

Horrible tragedy. The death toll is likely to be in the 10's of thousands.

Below is a clip of news coverage of the wave coming onshore and way inland. Taken from a helicopter, the clip runs 16 minutes. You could not out run this thing, and even a lot of people in cars were overtaken. It just keeps coming and coming and coming. Eventually the front edge of the wave is more debris than water, but it just will not stop.

hard to imagine the terror some went through

many of the survivors have a long road ahead of them
My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.

Makes you feel little, small and insignificant.

'Mother Earth' is always trying to kick your ass.
If I have the gift of prophesy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to move mountains but do not have love I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned but do not have love it profits me nothing.

I wish there was something I could do for them. It has been a while since I donated blood. I will do that tomorrow. Maybe that will help.

If there was something I could do over there... I would be on the next flight out.
When I die, I want to go like Grandpa did. He died in his sleep..... Not screaming and hollering like all the passengers in his car.

"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered....The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."
