The silver market is now entering a very caotic period. The naked shorts have been exposed for what they are and the short squeeze is on. Silver will soon be a household word.

Who can fortell the future? It will drop below $20 only with government intervention. The gov. has done it before, but they had millions of ozt. to interviene with. Now they don't.

One guess is as good as another.

I think it's going to go into the low $20's one more time because something will happen that will make alot of people dump it. not sure what that is but think it will happen one more time before the end! While more and more people are catching on to whats really going on, the masses are still unaware.

I figure with the ASE minting coming to a standstill for the time being, it will only go up as demand continues. And looking at the big on-line auction, it appears the demand is still there.

Something that has been a real encouragement to me is the explosion in the number of silver videos on youtube. When I first was interested in silver in '05, you could count the number of silver videos on two hands. NOW, there are hundreds, maybe even a thousand or two have been produced over the last few years. Men and women, black and white, adults and teens, Americans/Brits/Canucks/Aussies...one Russian---ALL making silver vids!

Silver...the new epidemic :D

Why? It hasn't gone under $34 yet.

Dont think 25 will show itself again.
After the present getting 4 ozs for 100 would be a sweet deal so demand would stop a really big fall.

I dont think silver is being hid anymore, people just have to want to look now.I really thought a big pullback was here and nothing happened. Why didnt somebody throw their monkeywrench? Corrections will still happen, but it might be 40 to 35 who knows

A strengthening dollar would surprize the dickens out of me. Interests rate have to rise I think, so unless something like debt restructuring or an out of the blue political carnal happens it should not fall too much.

Still plenty of demand aparently.
Somebody said that the dollar was on the way out by the end of 2012 who knows.

I'm with Ray.

I would have voted $34 plus anyway, but since i'm new here, i've had the good pleasure to correspond with Ray, both open forum and via PM, and i can safely say that Ray is a well thought and prudent man, who's world view i share, which includes how to buy PM's.

Ray did me a solid by opening some doors for me, but i couldnt take advantage of this generous act. i felt pretty bad, but apologized profusely and asked Ray to understand without going into specifics, which he did. a class act, a generous intellect, and a man i would want in my foxhole when the going got rough. You're a gem , sight unseen.

and may i venture this, and will take the appropriate ball busting if i'm wrong, i will be very surprised, if on 31 Dec 2011, Silver is below $60 USD the oz.

respectfully, neil

The wild card is how much additional silver Japan will need for the rebuilding of their country's infrastructure. My bet is on the No Drop Below $34 through the end of the year. As gold gets more and more pricey, more people will also turn to silver for something that's more affordable.

Silver still hasnt closed below 34 since this poll. I remember thinking at the time how strange it would be if it didnt drop below 34... and here we are at 41.50.....

we have had many here predicting a major correction since 26..... wouldnt surprise me at all... but i sure wouldnt be counting on it, with the dollar pegged to be replaced as the reserve currency. the big players know this.
