2 Magician Coin - British version.

Over a period of a year and around 350 boxes I found one. Today I found 3 more. I guess there is a magician somewhere that was hard up for cash.

From my Friday purchase of a sealed cloth bag of 473 Ikes and an extra 72 from other banks I got skunked as far as silver (I think I've only found maybe 10 silver after checking 20,000 of them) I did find about 30 that need further examining for BUs. I always look for 1972 Type 2 (proof reverse). So far I've found 2 of them in all the Ikes I've searched over the past 4 years.

I also searched through 15 CWRs of halves. Found one 1968-D and nothing else worth mentioning.

And finally, 20 CWRs of quarters I bought for a friend's business. I of course had to edge search them. No Silver, but I found 1 Mount Hood, 2 D.C.s, 1 Am Samoa, 1 V.I.

...and about 80% of the box was filled with BU 1998-P halves.

A fellow searcher in my area warned me about getting boxes with a bunch of BU 1998 halves in them. I think the best way to get rid of them is the brute force method - after geting them from our source bank (Brink's), we can just dump them onto our dump bank (Dunbar - Union Bank). If the 2 of us move these halves, $2k or more each week, we will get rid of them once and for all. It's a lot easier when there are two of us doing it. Are you out there, fellow searcher?
