Anybody do this? We do, with great results!
If you don't know what I'm talking about, here's the skinny.
If you don't want to hassle with trying to recycle those CRT's (I hate CRTS!), take them to your local Best Buy. They will charge you $10.00 per monitor to recycle it for you. Then, For every monitor you pay to recycle, Best Buy will give you a $10.00 gift card. So say you get paid by your customer to recycle their monitors. We charge 10 buck per monitor. We then haul them to Best Buy and recycle them. We walk out of there with no monitors and $$$$ to spend however we see fit! So far we have a new I-Pad, Tom-Tom, and are now working on a new Mac laptop!
The only drawback is that they will only take 3 monitors per person, per household, per day, so they say. It's not true. We just dropped off 32 at one store, all at the same time. Trick is to talk to a manager and bring them in right before their truck arrives to haul them away. Some stores are limited on storage space.
Just a little tip from a seasoned pro!
