for anyone that got left out in the cold this may be the absolute last buying opportunity.

a little on the high side compared to the other offers but if you dont have one it may appeal to you.

$60/coin to get slabbed and certified times 5 coins is $300 Lowest price I saw was $949 unslabbed, so anything less than $1249 is actually very cheap.

Very tempting.

The dealers approved to sell these sets can only sell them for a 10% markup, plus shipping.

Why would they go to the trouble and expense of having them graded BU (or graded at all) when they would have sold anyway with no grade and they can't charge a higher price for a something slabbed with a high grade? Can someone explain this?

They must have an exception from the Mint because they offered the unslabbed 5 coin set for $856.90 + 80.10 for shipping. They are charging $222 more for slabbed coins. Not an unreasonable markup for getting these in NGC gem certified holders.

I e-mailed them and asked if I could buy a set if I already bought an unslabbed set from them. They said, "Unfortunately we can only sell one set per household. Maybe you can talk to a friend or family member and have them order one for you." I did not think they would encourage doing that, but I just might try it.
