Anybody ever notice how much scrap catalytic convertors sell for on Ebay? They're selling anywhere between $30 and $120 apiece. Anyone getting anything close to that at the scrapyard?

I think it all depends on the area and your contacts. Here where I live they pay a low flat rate per convertor depending on size. Where as I have a brother in WI that actually makes his living on scrap and mechanic work. He has a guy that he calls when he gets a cat and the guy comes to his place. Names a price on each convertor and pays cash right there. My highest cat I sold locally was $25 to the yard where he has gotten $150 for his highest, and his guy picks up. It all depends on the location and the buyers offer I think. ANd the available outlets.
