School dumpsters

It's that time of year to hit up those school dumpsters. At the end of the school year schools toss out lots of good metal. I found a few old steel chairs so far-what can you find?

Apartments around colleges and universities are the best - at the end of the semester you can score:

-furniture
-current textbooks
-office supplies
-electronics - laptops, computers, stereos, TVs
-metal
-and much more

The public elementary/middle/high school systems in many parts of the country are hard up for funds right now. Don't expect them to throw out as much stuff as they used to.

textbooks or library books are great. I get old law books and list them on amazon. they might sell for a quarter of the current edition, and may take a long time or never sell, but the prices are high to begin with.

I drop containers off at all of the schools near my shop for the summer (all the ones I can, that is). Most have recycling initiatives.

Found a large Alum. frame(for a chalkboard?) and an old window AC unit at a middle school dumpster today.
