Turned Die?

Postby sparechange » Thu Jun 02, 2011 9:31 pm

I bought a collection from a fellow today and he had many buffalo nicks. Found one, 1925, that seems to have obverse and reverse turned about 15% front to back as it is turned over. Is this a common error? Any insights? Thanks.

it's called a rotated die and they are an error and collectable. Not sure of value but the further they are off the better.

Thanks bman. I thought it was a pretty neat find for me.
