WOW moment. Sorting a box of halves found a few 40% then my partrner (girlfriend) says "hey look at this" and hands me an 1893 Columbian World Fair Expedition half dollar. A little dirty and worn however still at least grades at good considering the date. Need your help. Does anyone know its value??? Thanks

Its worth a notch above melt at best... but they are neat coins for sure. There were hordes of them minted. i see them go for just above melt on ebay all the time....

It's neat find, certainlly worth more than 50 cents, so it's a good day..

Wow is right! Great find out of the wild! :D

Lucky you your G'friend helps you sort. The Sheikh's #1 wife helps him also.

These are great finds, have 2-3 from sorting myself. Great pocket conversation piece. This is the kind of coin I use to entertain bank tellers.

It's worth a little more than melt.

The rarity of finding it is greater than its worth as a bullion piece. I'd put it in my trophy case. Good catch.
