I've seen copper coated steel, copper alloys, and synthetics. No bet on what you end up with.

I think a lot of the non-magnetic metal ones are die-cast zinc.

lol..Robaron you just don't know. There's so many people in my area that haven't had a job in a year. EVERYBODYS scrapping! People around here used to let you come on their property and clean up and haul away junk and scrap just to have free cleanup. Not Anymore. More people at the scrapyard than at wal-mart..lol
Speaking of Lazy-boys & couches, I have burnt old ones and scrapped the springs..after looking for coins in the cushions of course
