Anyone know what kind of card this is?

I recently got a variety of computer objects from a lady that is moving.Her husband has'nt gotten rid of anything computer wise since the 80's.

Anyway,there were a bunch of these boards in a box. They read AMD New Melon Card,but when I have tried to Google this,I am coming up with nothing.
I have never seen a board/card like this before,and would like to know what it is before I decide to scrap it,just in case it might be worth more as it is.

Any help would be great!

I tried punching in the numbers on the big chip, but the photo's too blurry to make accurate searches.

Agreed, we need the numbers off of the chip. Whatever this was for, it was quite expensive originally. My guess is it was for telecom or video equipment. Lab equipment is also a possiblity.

If these are NOS - new old stock, they could be worth trying to sell online. Many business in far corners of the world are running old tech, and it's cheaper to pay a premium for a few old parts than to switch their entire system over.

If that doesn't work out, they're worth a bit as scrap. That ceramic chip is soldered in, correct? It's probably worth at least 3 dollars by itself. It's hard to tell without seeing more photos.

The ceramic chip is not soldered in,it is removable. I will try to get more pictures taken tomorrow.
