Thanks for the advice, everyone.
I went to a local BOA after quite a few other banks. I asked to purchase a box of pennies. This BOA said no problem. They grabbed me a box and said that will be $25. No hassle with this branch.
I asked if they readily have stock on hand, and the teller told me that they do and it would be rare for them to be out of coin. He didn't realize I would be picking up as much as I can, though. I told him I am in search of a bank to supply me with coin, and if I found one, I would like to open an account with them. He asked if I was a business. I just told him I was starting a small numismatic business.
They all seem to have a lot of questions when you ask for coinage, especially boxes of cents.
This BOA also told me that they can order me half dollars, but they don't keep them on hand. So as much as I hate BOA, I may open an account to pick up from. I may reopen a Chase account to dump at, haha. But most likely I will just hold everything and head to a casino for their free coin counter.
I started picking copper out of my pocket change, but now I am going through everything for rare/mint errors, plus the copper. I have a 1970-s DDO I am sending to PCGS here soon, so that coin is what really got me wanting to go at it. I didn't find it myself, it was in with a bunch of other Lincolns my grandfather had sorted a long time ago. But he left me this little gem within the bunch.
My fiancee won't touch coins, so she is no help, haha. But I am already 3/4 of the way through my box hand sorting. Those paper rolls become a pita after a while. Found maybe 20 wheaties in the box and the oldest so far is 1925.
