This forum is for discussing hunting and collecting US and Canadian circulation Silver Bullion Coins, other types of minted bullion, and other types of precious and base metal investments other than Bullion Pennies and Nickels.

Mrs. Clean

Postby Morsecode » Sat Jul 16, 2011 2:07 pm

A while ago I posted about a teller who had purchased some silver dollars from a customer at a buck each. I have been waiting for her to bring a few in for me to check out. Yesterday she tells me she forgot to gather them up from the back porch. I say, what are they doing on the back porch? She says she put them out to dry off..."I cleaned them all with Comet cleanser to make them shiny again" :?

*sigh*

Hope they're just a bunch of '21

I don't know whether to laugh or cry. What a shame. Oh, well, it's still silver, right?

And when you sell them on Realcent in Buy It Now, I hope you will appropriately entitle the thread as "Comet Coins!"

Was that with or without the wire brush and the high speed grinder?
