What's the premier Ingots or Bars people want?

Postby Henchman » Thu Aug 04, 2011 9:35 pm

I have some silver coins and some sterling silver items I have been snagging at estate sales and what not. But I would love to get some of those pretty little stack-able 1 oz or 5 oz ingots. I know people are making their own and that's cool. I just don't have the resources for that. I was looking at Scottsdale (pretty cool lion logo) and looks like only a $4 premium per oz according to my crappy math as of 8/4. I know Pamp Suisse is probably the top of the heap when it comes to Ingot/Bar creation.

What are some other premier bar makers? Which would you perfer to have over any other (besides Pamp Suisse)

Cheers,
Henchman

Englehard or Johnson Mathey although they are not making them any more.
"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered....The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."

I while back I listed four 10-oz Englehard bars at spot. Folks on RealCent were foaming at the mouth to buy them from me. They literally sold in minutes. I had no idea I should have added a premium, just because they were Englehards.

I was very happy to find out that my wife Englehard bar she got from her farther had a nice premium before that I was willing to trade the 10oz bar for 10x 1 oz rounds.
