$5.50 loose from teller (AT THE DUMP), plus an Ike
Ike was clad
But there were THREE BENS!
1951, 1963D, 1963D
The story behind this is the best! On my way to visit a friend's house, who lives near my parents, I had a wild thought, and stopped in at a bank about 15 miles up the road. They only had $7.50 so I went to the bank across the road. They had a box, but I only had $170 left, so I bought what I could. My friend has sorted some before, but never found any silver. So I opened it with him. He found one of the 67's and said "HEY THEY DO STILL EXIST!" The next morning, I took the junk to the bank where my dad has an account. They poured them into the machine, and because this is not a place I have dumped stuff with before, I just went ahead and asked... "I know I'm giving you halves right now, but do you have any more, perhaps a few loose ones here at your till that I could buy? Or any other stuff out of the ordinary?" Why yes, they did... and honestly, that's the best pickup during a dump I've ever had. I don't believe I've ever found a Ben before, but today I got three.
