Neat find in the dealer junk bin

Postby Pennysaved » Thu Sep 22, 2011 6:20 pm

Today, I went through the dealer junk bin; I did find one silver coin a 1966 Mexican un Peso; i know not much silver but still bought well below melt.

The neat thing I found is an old bank stamp

The 1st National Bank of Vacaville California
Incorporated
May 28, 1910

It is bigger than a Morgan dollar and is heavy

Anyone know much about these?

Bigger than a Morgan? That's cool.

I got a hit on my craigslist ad today and ended up with 4 silvers:

1944 philipine (US) 50 centavos
1930 10 francs
1967 canada 50¢ howling wolf
1965 kennedy

I had a bunch of these about 10 years ago. They're big, but have about the same silver as a war nickel.

I dont think this one is silver; it has a little rust on it

All the letters are all backwards.
