On vacation, so I went to over a dozen banks near the in-laws house today.

$10.50 customer returns from the first bank, at the tills...

The next ten or eleven banks... no halves. Except for one that said "We only make change for our members." And one that said, "A guy calls us EVERY DAY to get whatever halves we have."

$120 "from an elderly gentleman that brings a bunch of halves in all the time"

I should have picked up on all those hints. Apparently the "elderly gentleman" gets ALL the halves from ALL the banks in this particular area. Mind you, this is a metropolitan area, in South Carolina, and they were all within 3-4 miles down the one road, but THIS area has been picked.

Plus 6 non-silver canada 10 cents, one '01 Mex 10 C, one '08 Aruba 10 cent and one '95 Aruba 5 cent. Also got 4 clad quarters for my troubles. Helps compensate for all those ferengi coins.
