Made it past the 500th roll in my 10,000 roll journey, after going through two more boxes. The pennies are Canadian unless otherwise identified. Here are the stats for rolls 401-500:
* 1942 - 1977: 448, or 8.96%.
* 1978 - 1979: 176, or 3.52%.
* 1980 - 1981: 237, or 4.74%.
* 1982 - 1996: 1511, or 30.22%
* U.S. pre-'82: 217, or 4.34%. These are all non-wheat, non-'82 coppers.
* "Keepers," or semi-numismatic coppers that a naive or sentimental collector would keep: 20, or 0.40%. Six of them are wheaties.
------------------------------------
Total coppers: 2609, or 52.18%.
I really got lucky with these hundred rolls. It's the first time I cracked 50%. (And what's with not counting Canadian coppers in the searcher scores?
)
Another tracking category of interest:
* U.S. pennies, '82 and after: 404, or 8.08%. (I dump away all '82s, so I have zero '82 coppers.)
