That seems to be happening a lot lately according to the teller at the bank where my husband returned these rolls for me. She questioned whether or not they were correct in coin count. He told her they weren't when we picked them up from one of that bank's branches, but that his wife made up any missing coins so that they were accurate in coin count when we returned them.
I personally know of others that do NOT return their rolls with the correct number of coins and I believe it is causing problems for those of us that do make up the shortages before returning the coins. Hopefully, this will not continue or none of us may be able to search rolls in the future.
Just drop em off at my house.. I'll take care of sortin' em.sdmarasso wrote:Have 15 boxes waiting for me tomorrow. Not sure I will get to them all but we'll see

All half dollar rolls I turn in are the proper count.. kind of hard to short a roll when you are rolling by machine.
One solution if you are getting short rolls. Just take your little pocket digital scale in with you and roll each roll across it when you get them from the teller.

Box 50- 6- 5- 10/25/2010 4/Kennedy & 1/Franklin
Box 51- 3- 0- 10/25/2010 1 /1970 Half

Box 55- 5- 2- 10/25/2010 1/Walker & 1/64 Kennedy
Total =
43 - 40% = 2 1970 Halves
11 - 90% = 1 Walker, 1 Franklin & 9/64 Kennedy
Have 15 boxes waiting for me tomorrow. Not sure I will get to them all but we'll see
