Thanks for the info. Are these prices that you are paying or are they where you take your stuff to? I only have a small amount of E-waste so far

How do their buy prices compare to what you would get just selling this stuff on eBay? Obviously there are fees involved and extra effort, but I was just curious if anyone knew this off the top of their head to save me a lot of work figuring it out. :)

Some will sell for more, some less. memory and processors do best on E-bay.

$3.00/lb for scrap laptops? I can get you 5,000 lbs easy at that price. Anyone paying that much is assuming there's good parts or resale value. Most of the ones I get are at least 10 years old and/or smashed.

As for that site, most of those prices are very good if you're someone scrapping computers out of your basement. Except for PayPal only, that's not good.

Some of those prices are strangely high, and some are so low they're insulting:

CD/Disk/Floppy Drives $0.09 per pound
Low Grade Brown Board $0.09 per pound
Mixed Wire $0.55 per pound

The first two can be mixed with light iron at many yards and sold for $0.11/lb or more and they're both worth much more than that anyway, and unless one can throw aluminum wire and steel coaxial in the wire category there are too many middlemen involved.

Please provide a link or contact info to someone or someplace that will pay "much more" for the drives and low grade boards. I have about 3000 pounds of them to sell.

Yeah, that $3.00 per pound for laptops is in high orbit. But if they are paying that, where can I sign up? :D
