Over $2200! Oh, he's selling five sets at one auction. It will be like a month before delivery, right.

Quick question. I would be interesting in taking a gamble and trying to pick these up and flip them. Assuming I can get them, where is the best place to sell them? I have a decent amount of experience buying PMs but absolutely no experience selling them. :)

Ebay or Craigslist would be your best bet.

All the best...Bob.

Wow, I'm content with just trying to get one... maybe two depending on my funds. I'm going to try the online route.

So this release is a true "free for all" for the public and coin dealers alike.?
The US Mint doesn't have relationships with any dealers that get a certain number automatically shipped to them.?

I guess I'm trying to compare it to how the new firearms are shipped to the largest/most volume $$ dealers first and the smaller mom and pop shops are on the bottom of their list. But I guess that's really apples to oranges because of the FFL license vs the lack of a "coin dealer" type license.

What is a "reverse proof"?
buying wheat pennies at $0.03 delivered - send me a note if you are selling
buying copper pennies at $0.014 delivered - send me a note if you are selling

That's what P.O.s me every time  :!: . Too many people trying to get too low a fixed price.
I'm trying for 3 and depending on the market at the time I want to push for way more.

Dummies capped the first 5 oz ATB way too low. Had an easy $150 more in it.

Don't give them away boys! These opportunities are not there every day!

You know, something just occurred to me (after looking at all of the completed Feebay sales on these so far). Isn't it possible that these sales are actually fake and that it was a deliberate setup (of at least 2 parties) with a fake high prices listing, in order to artificially pump up the prices? Just asking.

As for me, I'm still on the fence as to whether I really want to buy these or not, just to flip them. Some questions I've been asking myself are: is it worth it, what if they don't sell out, what if the mint doesn't ship them out within 30 days etc. I personally like them myself and wouldn't mind having one for the collection/hoard. On a separate note, i do recall the huge hype of last year's 2010 ASE proof going on sale, which was an inflated 45.95 at the time (silver was at $30/oz, I believe). It seemed like a good deal at the time, but I believe you can now get them on Feebay for only $50 or $60 (in other words, one couldn't make money just flipping them). Granted, the final mintage numbers are much higher than this set of 100K. Part of me is just suspicious/cautious, I suppose.

there are two unique coins in this set, that at this point in time, you can only acquire by buying the set. Should these two coins remain unique to the set, the coins will carry a numismatic premium. Hype, price manipulation, etc will happen and then the price will settle.

If anyone is planning to send to PCGS or NGC or any other grading company DO NOT OPEN THE BOX or they will not grade it.

It was hard enough to get a confirmed order the first day of sale of the 20th anniversary set. Especially with the mintages being lowered from 250,000 for the 20th to 100,000 for the 25th. Like I said in an earlier post, if the mint takes your order while telling you in so many words that you are on a waiting list, don't give up hope. Just make sure that whatever mode you use to pay for the order maintains adequate funds or credit for at least 6-7 weeks after today incase your order is bumped up the list.

I wouldn't let any sets stay in my hands too long like I did the 20th. I'm not so sure there will be a long period of sustained interest in these sets like there was with the 20th. Just my 2 cents.

Good luck Gents!

DF

Does anyone know if they will ship to only the billing address of the credit card? Or is there an option to ship to another physical address?
