There was a question on the old board about scrapping cardboard. Many recyclers will pay for cardboard. You just have to call around. Of course it always helps if you hoard a decent quantity.

We give our cardboard to the people that come around once a month with a dumpster. And they're happy to take it.

I remember a time when cardboard was up around $200.00/ton. Bet you wish you had all those bales back then!!!

How much do the bales weigh

Actually, I was getting very close to that price this week.. but the market is softening a little.

The bales weigh 1400 to 1500 pounds each.

People have tried to steal bales from the back lot of the local Wally, along with the new plastic pallets. They just don't realize just how damn heavy those things are!

Walmart and stores like them often use a smaller baler. Their bales are usually only 800-900 pounds. We call them "Baby bales" when we get a shipment of those in inventory.

what is the price on cardboard corrugated is what they called it 15 years ago when it was high i got 220 dol. a net ton asked about it a year ago and was told no value but you can leave it

The market was pretty soft about a year ago. If you have at least a ton, you should be able to call around and get a price for it. Try to look for a MRF (Materials Recovery Facility) in your area and tell them you have a large amount of #11 OCC to sell.
