I found some time and money to do a little searching again.

$500.00 in CWR Dimes from 11/2/10
(3) Silver
1964-D
1962-D
1957-D
And a whole lot of long rolls!! (13) rolls were long one dime, (5) long two dimes, (1) long three dimes and (2) long four dimes.. For a total of $3.40 in extra dimes..

$250.00 in BWR Quarters from 11/2/10
(1) Silver
1964-D

$590.00 in CWR Dimes from 11/3/10
(4) Silver
(2) 1964-D
1962-D
1957-D

$250.00 in Clear Roll Dimes from 11/3/10
(1) Silver
1962-D

$350.00 in BWR Halves from 11/3/10
(2) 90% and (6) 40%
(2) 1964-D
1965
(4) 1967
1969-D

There were (10) 2010's (3) 2009's and (4) 2008's mixed into that partial box of halves.

I need to go back and buy the remaining $100.00 in halves from the bank that I bought the $350.00 from!!

$10 CWR Dimes
Skunk

$380 CWR Quarters
Absolutely the worst group of quarter rolls I have ever gotten. This will put me permanently in the hole. Rolls included 13 nickels and 1 dime.. and most of them were short.
Skunk - Of course there was no silver
$5.50 short.. Ouch!

Do NIFC halfs, or any coins for that matter, end up in circulation from the government not selling all the coins to collectors and then just dumping them into circulation :?:

I am sure some get in by junior cuting open a package and spending it.

But how do the majority of these get into circulation?

Thanks

Picked up a coin counter bag of halves $500.00.
I thought it was going to be short because I noticed a lot of wrong denomination coins in the bag with the halves. As it turned out the bag contained $497.50 in halves and $31.00 in quarters and $3.00 in Presidential Dollars and about $0.88 in Pennies, Nickels and Dimes. So the bag was long $32.38!! Only scored one silver..

(1) 1967 40% half

$100.00 in BWR Halves
(1) 1968-D

$500.00 in Plastic Wrapped dimes
Skunk..

ah the stories these coins could tell................... got three teller halves...... one was a 2002, other was a 1964 -- mirror finish,. teller did not want to give it to me , as it was ''ugly'' as it was 'tarnished' in a couple spots.

not a 'report' as i only do the $1,000 increments on nickels, but........... while i cannot compete with ocd's 14 wars in a box... i got my very first 4 banger. one was even a 45 'd'. those d mints are oh so uncommon.

Also picked up a nickel box which appears to be a solid 2010. Now to find out what to do with it.

6$ in teller halves, 12 40%ers , it was a good score. Down side, I lost two of them. I had to go through a metal detector and only had 11 when I checked my pocket later. After that, they went into the ashtray of the car I was in and while pulling them out, one went into a crevice that goes "deep into the dash". It wasnt my car either otherwise it would be time to do some panel popping. So Country, not sure if it is 10 or 12 but either way, Im really happy!

It's hard to know for sure. I think the majority of NIFCs are spent, like the clad proofs, by junior. You see a few mixed dates in half boxes. Occasionally, I have found over a 100 brand new NIFCs, all the same date, in a box. I'm guessing these were bought by collectors from the mint in a $100 bag, passed on to dealers when they sold their collection, and subsequently dumped by the dealer who had an excess of them, into the coin counters at the bank. Also, collectors who bought bags of these might have needed the money and cashed them in at a bank.

The mirror-finish 1964s are usually proofs found in the wild. I've found a couple myself. I'd bet yours is a proof too. :)

As of September 2010, the 2010 Nickel mintages were:

2010-P - 182.88 million
2010-D - 147.36 million

Much more common than the 2009's
