CPM 10 oz bar

Postby newton7 » Mon Nov 21, 2011 10:15 pm

I came across one today at the local coin shop but have never seen one before. My research is coming up blank except CPM Group which I have been unable to find a listing for any products they have made or not made. Does anyone know about this type of bar? Who and where did it come from?

Wow that thing is brand spanking new. For such a new looking bar there should be some kind of information on it.

Not to be that guy, but are you sure its silver?

It was part of a mixed deal of ten oz bars and it feels right and weighs right but I have not seen it before. I'm sure I could take it back if needed. I'm surprised nobody here has not seen one before. I bet the brand is C something Precious Metals so I'll keep digging.

There is a CPM group in the US but as far as I know it is a consultancy.

There is a CPM refiner in South Africa but they don't note any current silver bar products. Suggest contacting them.

404 Not Found for me as well. All searches on the key words pull nothing. I have weighed the bar and it is the correct amount.

Well when I asked about it at the coin shop the owner just gave me a Sunshine Mint bar in exchange. No problems what so ever. I did not expect him to do that but he has enough confidence in his stuff to just switch it out for another. WOW!

I will be doing more business with him in the future when the funds become available!

Thanks guys and gals.

The CPM 30Kg bars look a lot better that the ugly rough bars sold from Fidelitrade (roughly 1000 ounces)

Nope but I'm betting it was a supply bar used in jewelry making or something. I asked and all he could say was it was made by CPM but didn't have any other info. It weigh right, looked right, felt right and sounded just fine. But I wanted some more info so when the time came to sell I could say it was from xyz company back in 2000ish and they made etc etc but that is no longer an issue now.

even if authentic, it was a good trade out because what you got is more liquid.
